Sashiko is the Japanese art of repairing and strengthening fabric with beautiful geometric stitching patterns. Similar to the art of kintsugi, sashiko reveals the beauty in imperfection by highlighting the history of an object. Traditionally, sashiko-adorned clothing would be passed down through generations, each owner adding their own repairs until the fabric became a beautiful piece of art representing the past of the whole family.

Our complete kit contains everything you need to learn how to do sashiko embroidery:

  • detailed, illustrated instructions to guide you through the basics of sashiko stitching, as well as illustrations of traditional sashiko stitching patterns.
  • a blank tote bag that you can practise on
  • five patches of fabric in different colours and materials so you can start repairing your clothes
  • a sashiko needle, some thread, and some chalk you’ll need to plan and sew your patterns.

Inside the UK:

All our kits include free and fast shipping by a tracked courier, deliveries typically take 1-3 working days to arrive. If they haven't arrived by that time then please do get in touch.

We also offer an expedited next working day shipping service, for which the cut-off time for same day dispatch is 4pm.

All of our orders are delivered by Amazon's fulfillment network, as they are able to offer an incredibly efficient and reliable service, so if your parcel arrives in an Amazon box there's no need to worry!

United States:

All our kits include free shipping to the USA by a tracked courier. Orders to the USA are sent out from our warehouse in the USA so you don't need to worry about customs fees or potential delays.

Standard USA delivery is in 3-5 working days, but there are options to upgrade to faster delivery methods when you check out.

Rest of the world:

We're currently only able to dispatch orders to the UK and USA, however we are currently working on expanding our local warehouse network to enable us to ship to more countries.
