Introducing limited drops: Discover our new exclusive product

OurHands is proud to present our brand new concept: the Limited Drop collection!

From the very start, we've been looking for a way to introduce you all to new ideas and hobbies, while also feeding our own creativity. With our Limited Drop collection, we'll be releasing a small batch of a brand-new kit every few months. Only a hundred kits will be made for each batch, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled! This new collection will allow both you and us to experiment with unique crafts and concepts.

We're also incredibly excited to introduce you to our very first Limited Drop kit: our Hot Honey Making Kit. This kit will allow you to make six different recipes of spicy honey from chillies and spices.

The kit will first be available this Saturday 1ˢᵗ June 2024 at Salad Days Market in Battersea Power Station. It'll then hit the shelves on our website on the 7th of June at 10am, where it'll be available as long as stocks hold. There are only a hundred kits out there and they're all hand-numbered, so make sure you don't miss them!

What are Limited Drops?

Limited Drops are special releases of kits available in very small quantities. Every few months we will release a new exclusive kit. Only a hundred kits will be made for each batch, each of them handmade in our London studio and hand-numbered.

Why we chose Limited Drops

Each decision that we make at OurHands is rooted in our three core values of mindfulness, sustainability, and artisanship. The Limited Drops are no exception!

Creative Freedom

Developing a kit takes a very long time. From getting the idea to doing research, testing recipes and techniques, sourcing the best ingredients and tools, and writing and designing the kit, months can go by before the fruit of our labour can finally reach you. As very creative people who love sharing their projects and passion, we sometimes find this process to be quite long and frustrating. The smaller quantities of the Limited Drops make a lot of the sourcing easier, meaning we can be a lot more creative with our ideas, and faster in our execution!

With these limited edition kits, we'll also be able to give their chance to some of our more unique ideas that wouldn't have made it into our regular collections, whether because they were too complicated or simply too niche.

In short, the Limited Drops will allow us to be a lot more creative with our kits, and to pass that creativity directly onto you. We cannot wait to show you the different kits we've been working on and to see what you'll do with them.

Sustainability

We are always looking for ways to make our company more sustainable. It is something that is very important to us, and we try to design each kit to be as eco-friendly as possible by including reusable tools and avoiding single-use plastic wherever we can.

With the Limited Drops, we will be making smaller quantities of just a hundred kits at a time, which will help us avoid overproduction and waste. It also makes sourcing UK-produced, quality items a lot easier! The kit boxes themselves are still made from recyclable cardboard and can be easily reused for storage.

We're also trying to be more mindful of printed elements. In order to cut down our carbon emissions linked to printing and transport, the Limited Drop kits will have digital instructions that can be accessed via a QR code. This will allow us to cut down on waste while also letting us add useful videos and updates to the instructions at any time, depending on your feedback. Sustainable and convenient!

What to expect from our Limited Drops?

We will be releasing a new Limited Drop kit every few months. The kits will only be produced in batches of a hundred kits, each of them hand-numbered. They will be available on our website like any other kit.

The Limited Drop kits are a space for us to be creative and have fun with new concepts, so you can expect a wide variety of ideas!

The kits will be packaged in a recyclable box with beautiful stickers. As always, they will contain all the ingredients and directions you need to get started. Unlike our other kits, though, the Limited Drop products will have digital instructions that you can access from anywhere with a QR code.

Without further ado, meet our new exclusive kit...

OurHands' Hot Honey Making Kit

What is hot honey?

Hot honey is your new favourite condiment! Made from spicy chillies and delicious honey, it's the perfect combination of sweet, spicy, salty and tangy. Hot Honey is as versatile as it is delicious and can be used on pizza, fried chicken, melted cheese... Some people even put it in their tea! It can range from light and aromatic to incredibly spicy, and it can even be made with other ingredients like curry powder or lime juice.

What's in the kit?

This kit contains all the chillies and seasoning you’ll need to get started and make six recipes with varying levels of heat: The Hottest Honey, Sichuan Hot, Piri Piri, Katsu Curry, Green Jalapeno & Lime, and Smoky Chipotle. You will just need to add a 340g jar of inexpensive runny honey per batch. Some recipes such as Jalapeño & Lime and Piri Piri may also benefit from a squeeze of lemon or lime juice.

The five types of chillies in the kit are a California Reaper, a chipotle chilli, facing heaven chillies, bird’s eye chillies, and green jalapeno flakes.

The kit comes with digital instructions with step-by-step directions and recipes, as well as tools to make your hot honey-making experience even simpler.  

Where to purchase the kit?

Our Hot Honey kit will first be available at Salad Says Market in Battersea Power Station on Saturday, June 1ˢᵗ 2024. We will be there the whole day so we'd be delighted to see you, and answer any questions you might have.

After that, the kit will be officially released online on the 7th of June at 10am, where it’ll be available for purchase on our website.
