The Workshop
Bitters are a type of strong, deliciously flavoured alcohol used in cocktails like the Negroni and the Old Fashioned to add depth and complexity.
In this workshop, participants will explore the different types of bitters, learn how to best use them in cocktails, and create their own bottle of bitters. Using ingredients from our Bitters Making Kit, they'll blend their own bitters recipes from natural, premium ingredients. They can follow one of our provided recipes or create their own unique blend. We can also craft new recipes specifically for your event. At the end of the workshop, participants will take home their custom blend of bitters botanicals, ready to infuse into alcohol over two weeks with the provided instructions.
Workshop Plan
We’ll arrive early to set everything up and walk you through the workshop process.
- Introduction: As participants arrive, we'll discuss bitters, their unique flavours, and how they’re used in cocktails. We'll have samples of various bitters for tasting to help participants understand the nuances.
- Recipe Selection: Participants will familiarise themselves with the different ingredients and choose a bitters recipe. They can use one of our recipes or create their own blend.
- Blending: Participants will blend their chosen ingredients into small cotton bags, ready for infusing.
- Support: Our team will be available throughout the workshop to assist anyone who needs help.
- Wrap-Up: Participants will leave with their bitters blend in a cotton bag. They’ll need to infuse it in a bottle of inexpensive alcohol for around two weeks, following our instructions. We'll stay behind to tidy up and debrief the workshop with you.
Who Is the Workshop For?
This workshop is perfect for cocktail lovers! Bitters are a key ingredient in many cocktails, so participants will be able to mix their favourite drinks with their own handmade bitters for even more satisfaction. It's a fun, unique activity with delicious results. Homemade bitters also make a fantastic gift, making this workshop great for events like Valentine’s Day or Father’s Day.
This workshop is suitable for beginners: no prior knowledge is required.
Provided Tools and Materials
We provide most of the necessary items for the workshop:

We offer workshops and events any day of the week, including weekends, from 9 AM to 11 PM. This flexibility means we can accommodate almost any schedule! Whether you want a quick one-hour session or a more extended event, we’re here to make it work for you. For larger events we can also run workshops back to back so everyone can have a go.

Our cozy studio in Chiswick is unfortunately not suitable for hosting workshops. Instead, we bring the workshop to you! You'll need to provide us with a suitable space we can use for the workshop. We’re based in West London but can travel anywhere within the city. If your event is outside London, we'll include transportation and any necessary accommodation in your quote.
